Pokemon TCG Pocket players have received exciting news with the release of the Celestial Guardians expansion. Featuring over 200 new cards, this latest update introduces some highly requested additions, including the powerful Guzma Trainer card. Fans of the game will be pleased with the expansion’s rich variety, from the inclusion of Gen 7 Pokémon to immersive Trainer cards, making this a standout update for players worldwide.
What’s New in Celestial Guardians?

The Celestial Guardians expansion brings several key features to Pokemon TCG Pocket. One of the major highlights is the introduction of the Guzma Trainer card, which allows players to remove Pokémon Tools from their opponent’s active Pokémon. This addition is a direct response to player feedback, addressing a significant balance issue in the game related to the powerful synergies created by Pokémon Tools.
Aside from Guzma, the expansion also features Gen 7 Pokémon, including the Legendary duo Solgaleo and Lunala, who are the faces of the booster packs. These two Pokémon will be available in both their base and immersive forms, allowing players to further diversify their collection. Additionally, the expansion brings the Alolan forms of several Pokémon, as well as some of the Trial Captains, who are akin to Gym Leaders in the main series games.
Immersive Trainer Cards and New Tools
For the first time in the history of Pokemon TCG Pocket, immersive Trainer cards are being added to the game. In addition to Guzma, players can now also acquire Trainer cards like Lillie, which can be obtained by opening Solgaleo booster packs. Other Trainer cards introduced in the set include Lana, Sophocles, and Mallow, all of whom add variety and strategy to deck-building options.
The expansion also brings two new Pokémon Tool cards. Leaf Cape is available in Solgaleo packs, while the Poison Barb can be found in Lunala packs. These tools provide players with additional tactical advantages in their battles, giving them more options in terms of defensive and offensive strategies.
How to Get Guzma in Pokemon TCG Pocket
Players eager to add Guzma to their decks have a few different options. The card comes in three variants, each with a different drop rate:
